The modern peace sign was designed by Gerald Holtom for the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in 1958 but, over the years, has become a symbol of peace.
The mold for the sustainably-made pendant was carved by balsa wood artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. The peace sign was cast using an age-old sand-casting process where scrap aluminum is melted down with old car parts, then cast and polished to perfection. Approximate size: 3" x 1”.
