Collection: Tropical Hardwood

Romel and his sons create beautiful tropical hardwood pieces in their family workshop in Masaya, Nicaragua. Tropical hardwood is a wood that grows in any tropical moist forest. Some examples are mahogany, rosewood, teak and cocobolo and none of these woods are native to North America. The wood is either sustainably harvested or reclaimed wood, which means it gets a second chance as a utensil or bowl.  Our sister company, Women of the Cloud Forest, has been working with Romel for seven years and his work is amazing.  The grain variations in the wood are gorgeous and the feel of the wood is incredible.

These beautifully crafted pieces will make great wedding, anniversary, and housewarming gifts.
