Blue Marlin Balsa Ornament

Cobalt blue and silver with a long sword-like bill the blue marlin is spectacular. From bill to tail they can be 14 ft long. Females are 4 times larger than the males and can weigh up to 2000 lbs. The marlin swims into schools of fish slashing its bill to cut and stun its prey.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
