Cardinal Balsa Ornament

Cardinals are known for fiercly defending their territories and this is probably why so many states have them as state birds and sports teams have adopted them as their team mascots. This handsome fellow (yes the male is bright red and the female is brown) is an uplifting, happy sign that those we have lost will live forever, so long as we keep their memory alive in our hearts.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
