Flying Fox Bat Balsa Ornament

The largest bat is the flying fox. They eat fruit, nectar and leaves and flowers and are excellent pollinators. They congregate and sleep in trees called roosts. Their preferred habitat is eucalyptus forests, mangroves, mangroves, cocount groves and orchards.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
