In warm weather, you can find the cerulean warbler in eastern North America. This songbird winters on the eastern slope of the Andes. The females have a funny way of leaving the nest. This little "bungee-jumper" will drop from the side of the nest while keeping her wings folded by her sides. She opens her wings only when she is well below the nest.
Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
