Bald Eagle Balsa Ornament

A symbol of strength, power, and freedom, the bald eagle has been the emblem of the United States since 1782 and a spiritual symbol for the Native Americans long before that. These beautiful magestic birds can soar to heights over 10,000 feet. Their eyes are the same size as ours, but they see 8 times better than us.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
