Red-eared Slider Balsa Ornament

The red-earred slider gets its name from the red marking around its ears, as well as its ability to quickly slide off a rock or log into the water. This subaquatic turtle is the most popular pet turtle in the world.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
