Red-tailed Hawk Balsa Ornament

The red-tailed hawk is the largest species of hawk and a formidable predator. They use tall buildings or trees to perch and look for prey. They have incredible eyesight - they can see a mouse from 100 ft away!

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
