Swallow-tailed Kite Field Bag
Swallow-tailed Kite Field Bag
The swallow-tailed kite is the largest kite in North America. This raptor can have a four-foot wingspan, and they are easily recognized by their forked tails and black and white plumage. They capture and eat their prey midair and skim the water to drink. These amazing flyers eat insects, wasps, dragonflies, small fish, snakes, and even bats.
Our Swallow-tailed Kite Field Bag is designed to hold a field guide, keys, wallet, and water bottle. These bags are perfect for birdwatchers, hikers, zoo docents, or your favorite nature enthusiast. Made of 100% hand-loomed cotton, all bags have a 1.5" black nylon webbing strap (adjustable to 62"), side pen holder, and back zipper pocket. Roomy enough to fit a small field guide and water bottle or a larger guide like The Sibley Guide to Birds. The bag's interior is scoop-shaped, making it easy to quickly grab your field guide before that bird flies away. Bag dimensions: 8" wide x 10" tall with a 2" gusset. Handmade with love by women artisans in Nepal who have been empowered to lift themselves out of poverty through dignified work. Fair trade.
