Black-throated Blue Warbler Balsa Ornament

Black-throated blue warblers are tiny migratory songbirds. The males and females look very different from one another. This little warbler steals insects that have been caught in a spider's web, and if the spider bothers him, the warbler may eat him too!

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
