Monarch Butterfly Balsa Ornament

The monarch butterfly makes an amazing 3000 mile journey every fall from North America to Mexico. Sadly, the migratory monarch has been listed as endangered due to pesticides and climate change. By planting milkweed and nectar plants native to your area, you can help monarch butterflies thrive.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
