Penguin Balsa Ornament

A group of penguins on land is called a "waddle" and a group of penguins in the water is called a "raft." Although they have wings, they cannot fly, and they use their wings as flippers that allow them to be excellent divers and swimmers.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
