Piranha Balsa Ornament

Piranha are freshwater fish that live in lakes and rivers in South America. Interestingly, piranha will only eat when the water temperature is above 54 degrees. They look ferocious with an underbite full of razor-sharp teeth. Not to worry, they are not much of a threat to humans.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
