Puffin Balsa Ornament

Puffins are are only about 10 inches tall and are excellent swimmers. Unlike penguins, they can fly, but it takes a lot of effort. Their transitions between swimming and flying have given them the nickname "clown of the sea." A baby puffln is called a puffling, how cute is that?

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
