The hammerhead shark got its name from, of course, its head, which is called a cephalofoil. The hammerhead uses his head to trap his favorite food in the floor bed. You ask, what is his favorite food? Stingrays—the hammerhead is immune to the toxin in the stingray's barb.

These shiny sand-cast sculptures are created out of old car parts and scrap aluminum collected from garbage dumps in Nicaragua. Using an age-old sand-casting process, the metal is melted down, cast, and then polished to perfection. This recycled shark is bound to create a conversation wherever it is displayed. Approximate size: 5-6". Fair trade.
