African Penguin Balsa Ornament

This is the only penguin species found in Africa. They think nothing of diving down 100 ft and can swim 12 miles per hour. They make a loud braying noise similar to a donkey and have the nickname "jackass penguin."

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
