Brook Trout Balsa Ornament

Brook trout are technically not “trout”. They are in the char family, although they are the most “trout like” in their family. But only a true fisherman or biologist would know that. As long as the water is cold and clean they can live there.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
