Opossums are tick-eating machines and North America's only marsupial. They have more teeth than any other mammal, 50 to be precise. They have a prehensile tail, which means they can use their tail to grasp or climb. The mother is only pregnant for 13 days before giving birth to her joeys.
Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
