Pigeon Balsa Ornament

Pigeons are not the "dirty rodent with wings" that people refer to them as. In fact, there is no evidence to the claims that they are dirty and carry disease. Pigeons are highly intelligent, social birds. They can recognize human faces as well as their own, they have excellent navigational skills, and they understand space and time. Next time you see one, give them the respect they deserve!

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
