Runner Duck Balsa Ornament

Can you think of a duck with good posture? The runner duck appears to be standing up straight, and for that, he gets the nickname the "bowling pin duck". This friendly duck/hen can lay an impressive 300 eggs a year! Not known for being terribly maternal, she rarely sits on the eggs to incubate.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
