Sloth Balsa Ornament

The slowest animal on Earth may also be one of the cutest. You can find sloths hanging out and sleeping in trees. Sloths can swim through water 3 times faster than they can move on land. They have 4 stomachs but because their metabolism is so slow, it takes 30 days to digest one leaf.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
