Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Balsa Ornament

One of the fastest fish in the ocean starts off as a tiny larva but within five years they can be 15 feet long, making them the largest tuna. The Atlantic bluefin tuna never stops swimming because that's how they get their oxygen. By swimming forward with their mouths open, they are able to oxygenate their blood.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
