The Leprieur’s Glory butterfly was one of Charles Darwin’s favorites. He considered this butterfly extraordinarily beautiful, so its common name is the Charles Darwin butterfly.
These sterling silver earrings are made with real Leprieur’s Glory butterfly wings, collected sustainably by an indigenous community in Peru after the butterflies' natural life cycle has been completed. Afterwards, the wings are carefully set into sterling silver bezels, allowing you to see both sides of the butterfly’s wing. Your purchase of this butterfly wing jewelry supports habitat preservation in the Amazon rainforest and allows the butterfly’s beauty to live on. Size: 1.18" x 1.39" including ear wires. Sterling silver. Fair trade.
These real butterfly jewelry pieces require special care. Please avoid submerging them in water or exposing them to sun in a hot window, both of which can result in discoloration and damage to the butterfly wings.
