Gray Squirrel with Gift Balsa Ornament

Squirrels love nuts and seeds. So much so that they loiter at birdfeeders! They are notorious for burying acorns for the winter and then finding them under the snow. However they don't find them all, and 20% of those acorns will grow into trees.

Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand-carved and then painted with non-toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
